Traditional margaritas get a fruity twist in these tasty Mango Margaritas (aka mangoritas). They’re sweet, tart and so incredibly easy to mix up!
Cinco de Mayo is rapidly approaching and I couldn’t be more excited. I haven’t decided on whether to make Mexican shredded beef, shrimp tacos or beef enchiladas – but I know I’m definitely making these margaritas!
These are served “on the rocks” (no blender required!). You can have these cocktails mixed up and ready to enjoy in less than 5 minutes.
They’re very similar to my pineapple margaritas (have you tried them?!), except I use mango nectar instead of pineapple juice. DELICIOUS.
Your Simple Ingredients
- Tequila – Use your favorite silver tequila.
- Triple sec – An orange flavored liqueur.
- Mango nectar – Typically found on the ethnic aisle in the grocery store. You can also use a mango juice blend (found on the juice aisle) but I prefer nectar.
- Lime juice – Fresh is best, but bottled can be used if you’re in a crunch.
- Kosher salt – For rimming the glasses. Feel free to add a little chili powder to the salt to give it a spicy kick (YUM!).
How to Make Mango Margaritas
- Rub a lime wedge around the rims of two glasses, then dip the rims in kosher salt on a saucer or small plate. Fill the glasses with ice.
- Pour tequila, mango nectar, triple sec and lime juice in a cocktail shaker with ice. Cover and shake vigorously.
- Strain into glasses and enjoy!
Number of Servings
This recipe yields 11 ½ ounces – enough for one large glass or two smaller glasses.
These margaritas can also be made by the pitcher, stirred and poured into glasses with ice. Just double, triple or quadruple the recipe depending on how many servings you want (you can also increase the number of servings on the print page and it will calculate it for you).
Cheers, ENJOY and please drink responsibly!
