I tend to have no rules when it comes to mixing cocktails… if I mix something up and it tastes phenomenal, I’m going to share it. Just like these amazingly delicious (and easy!) Creamsicle Margaritas.
This margarita has the flavors of creamy oranges, tequila and lime. I literally thought of this margarita when I woke up in the middle of the night on National Margarita Day. It must have been from seeing all of the awesome photographs of margaritas on Instagram earlier that day!
I looked it up online and most other recipes are frozen versions, but I didn’t see any with whipped vodka (which is what I thought of in the middle of the night!). So I took a chance, mixed it until I got it like I liked it… and that was it. This is my Creamsicle Margarita.
You can make it by the glass or by the pitcher. The ingredients are measured in “parts”, because that’s how I worked with it while measuring ingredients until I got the flavor like I wanted it.
It was SO HARD for me not to drink one of these after photographing (although I HAD to sip to taste it, right?!). I strained them into a pitcher for later tonight… trust me, they’re not going to waste! 🙂
And if you’re hesitant about mixing tequila with vodka, don’t be. Take my word that this tastes… well, you’ll just have to try it to find out for yourself! Cheers!

Thank you, KT – I’m so glad everyone enjoyed them!
Could you use regular vodka instead of Tequila…I have afriend that a reaction to Tequila
Hi Karen, This recipe has whipped vodka in it – although I haven’t tried it, you could leave out the tequila and use more vodka. I hope you and your friend enjoy it! 🙂
I found you because I had just a little vodka and tequila at the bottom of the jars and wanted to recycle the bottles today. So I made 2 of these for breakfast and they were great. I only had regular vodka so I added two drops of vanilla extract and that did the trick! 🙂

I squeezed my own orange and lime juice and added a little xtra vodka tequila and triple sec…fabulous
Oh and I made a batch and used it to make ice cubes as to not dilute the drink. Thanks for a crowd pleaser

That sounds delicious, thanks so much and I’m so happy everyone enjoyed them! 🙂
Have you tried making these as frozen margaritas. I like to make frozen margaritas and pour into mason jars and keep in the freezer. This is my version of “canning”.
Hi Amy, No I haven’t tried these frozen but it sounds delicious! Let us know how it turns out if you try it! 🙂
When you say “whipped vodka” do you mean whipped cream vodka?
Hi Vickie – Yes, whipped cream vodka. Hope you enjoy the margaritas! 🙂
Did you use clear tequila?
Hi Jess, yes I did but either will be fine… hope you enjoy! 🙂
Have you tried this blended? If so, was it just as good?
Hi Karla, No I haven’t… let me know how they turn out if you try!
This is something absolutely new! I noticed that lots of great thoughts come in the middle of the night lol
Yes they do! 🙂 You’ve gotta try it… thanks Elaine!
How much is a part? I am looking to make a pitcher for bachelorette party.
A “part” depends on the size of your pitcher or how much you want to make. For instance, if you use 1 cup as a part, then it would be 1 cup tequila, 1 cup whipped vodka, 1/2 cup triple sec, 5 cups orange juice, and a splash of lime juice. This would yield around 7-1/2 cups.
If you can’t find whipped vodka could you add cream or half and half? Would it curdle?
Hey, Lennie! I don’t think that combination would be good, but I’ve never tried it. Let me know if you do. Cheers! 🙂
Maybe try Whipping Cream and add your vodka in it. It will then be Whopped Vodka
Oh my mercy, this is fabulous. I added a half part sugar free french vanilla creamer as I did not have whipped vodka. You did well The Blond Cook! Thank you.
Thanks, Gavi! Cheers!
Where do you buy whipped vodka?
Hi Claudette! I used Pinnacle Whipped Vodka and I purchased it at my local ABC store. I hope you enjoy them if you make them! Here is the link to the vodka that I used: Pinnacle Whipped Vodka
gracias! this Whipped Vodka looks delicious. am going to make my first ever homemade margaritas. but, first going to run to my liquor store and pick up some Pinnacle!
Hey, Tess! De nada! The whipped vodka is really good, hope you enjoy these margaritas! 🙂
Amy, is whipped vodka the same as like a “whipped cream” vodka? Inquiring minds want to know! This sounds really good!

Hi Terri, Yes it is! I used Pinnacle Whipped. They are delicious and I hope you enjoy them… CHEERS! 🙂
Never heard of whipped Volka. What is it ?
Hi Vicky, it tastes like whipped cream. I used Pinnacle Whipped. Hope you enjoy them if you make them!
Where do you buy it? Need more detail on this item! Would love to make the cocktail.
It’s with all the other flavored vodkas. Pinnacle brand has a few different flavors. It’s near the chocolate cake flavor, etc. I add the whipped flavor INTO my whipped cream for an added level of flavor. Throw it in hot chocolate, on ice cream, use it in a trifle…all good!
love me some whipped vodka…and the marshmellow vodka also!
If you don’t have whipped vodka, add a little Baileys.
