Spiced Banana Cream Cocktail (and a giveaway–ended)

A super quick and easy ICE CREAM cocktail that will make you feel like you’re in the tropics!

What’s more comforting than ice cream?  Mixin’ it with booze, that’s what!  With summer quickly approaching, I’m finding myself thinking of cocktails that I can whip up in my blender in a moment’s notice.

Spiced Banana Cream Cocktail

I recently bought Taylor a half gallon of vanilla ice cream to comfort him after his shoulder surgery (he’s doing awesome, by the way!).

He didn’t eat it… SO I SPIKED IT AND DRANK IT.

Sorry, Taylor.

Spiced Banana Cream Cocktail

It was as simple as blending the vanilla ice cream with Blue Chair Bay‘s Spiced Coconut Rum, cream of coconut and bananas.

Zip.  Done.

When Blue Chair Bay Rum asked me if I wanted to be a part of their Blogtender Nation to celebrate National Beverage Day on May 6, of course I accepted.  Because anyone that knows me knows I’m all about beverages.

Their Spiced Coconut Rum was so smooth and full of flavor… I can’t wait to try it in another cocktail.

But for now, here’s the giveaway info:  Blue Chair Bay is going to send one lucky commenter a bottle of rum.  All you have to do is comment below, and tell me what you plan to make with the rum if you win.

The winner will be chosen via Random.org on Friday, May 2, 2014 (just in time for National Beverage Day) and is open to US residents at least 21 years of age.  The winner will be contacted by email and announced here on the blog.  If the winner does not respond via email within 48 hours, another winner will be chosen.  Good luck!

Disclosure:  A bottle of Blue Chair Bay Rum was provided to me for review, and another bottle for this giveaway.  All opinions shared are my own.  Please drink responsibly!

I would use the rum to marinate a delightful spiced rum pork tenderloin. Soaking golden raisins and pineapple- grilling the pork tenderloin- and the pineapple…. and serving it all with a toasted cocomut cous cous- buttered rum reduction.
    oh.my. gosh. I am hungry.

I would definitely make a Cayman Island Rum Cake. Every time I make one it brings back memories of our honeymoon cruise. That was the first time I ever had a Tortuga rum cake and when I found the recipe I now use, I was surprised how close it was to the original. I am ready to make another one especially as summer is fast approaching.

I think it would be great to come up with a yummy shot! Like..we could do a spiced coconut rum cake or something. Maybe add a vanilla liquor to it. I love all the BCB rums and think they would make a awesome sweet shot!! They are soooo smooth in taste. I love spreading the word of BCB because I truly love it, I even convinced the owner to the restaurant/bar we like to go to leave and go get me a bottle from the local liquor store (which I convinced to carry it also) because they didn’t have it on hand..lol :)
