Pecan Pie Vodka Martini

Today has been one of those warm, fuzzy days.

Don’t lie… You know what I’m talkin’ about.  One of those days when you just want to hug the freakin’ world.  Where everything goes right and feels right.  When all your hard work seems to pay off.

WORD.

Pecan Pie Vodka Martini

It certainly has been a long time coming and well overdue.  It seems as if everything in my life at this point in time is perfect, and it’s {almost} scary.  But I’m thankful for those “not-so-perfect” times… because without them, I wouldn’t be as appreciative.

So I’m celebrating.  With vodka.

This blog started out as… truly and honestly, a creative outlet.  I was going through a hard time in my life and needed something to exert my energy into.  I knew I loved cooking (and mixing cocktails) and thought I should share it with the world, even if only a few people saw it.  It made me feel good, and I met all kinds of awesome new friends.

Little did I know, almost 2 years later, I’d be doing this stuff FULL FREAKIN’ TIME.

WORD.  AGAIN.

I am so blessed, and thank my God, and thank YOU for helping me to grow my blog so that I can do what I love… which is share awesome food and cocktail recipes with you.

Pecan Pie Vodka Martini

I have the total honor of receiving the newest flavors from Pinnacle Vodka… and am a HUGE fan of their different flavors.  I recently received their Pecan Pie Vodka and was so excited to make an awesome cocktail with it.

But… you know what?  Everything doesn’t have to be complicated to be good.  Just like this cocktail.

All I did to rim the glass was crush some pecans and add the same amount of dark brown sugar… simple enough, right?

I thought so.

Then I mixed some half & half with Pinnacle’s Pecan Pie Vodka… and made some magic.

Cheers!
