Sometimes I find myself getting stumped for ideas… today was one of those days.
Isn’t it amazing how someone can speak encouraging words to you and you’re suddenly full of inspiration? That’s all it takes sometimes.
Today I thought I’d share one of my favorite cocktails and one of my favorite places with you all; How special is that? 🙂 Warm weather isn’t over where I live on the coast of NC just yet. I am fortunate enough to have a little beach within walking distance of my home.
This is the place I walk my dog Chance, and where I visit to unwind and reflect on life. I can’t think of anything more relaxing than being on the beach with my dog and this Planter’s Punch Cocktail!
The Planter’s Punch Cocktail originated in Jamaica and is prepared several different ways. There are tons of variations on how to make it. I searched the web just to see how many recipes I could find… WOW!
This is how I like to prepare my Planter’s Punch Cocktail: 2 parts dark rum, 2 parts orange juice, 2 parts pineapple juice, 1/2 part lemon juice, 1/2 part lime juice and a splash of grenadine. You can also prepare it by the pitcher for those last warm weather get-togethers.
Cheers to Thirsty Thursday, and remember to speak encouraging words when you can… you just might make someone’s day! Now go get yo’ punch on! 🙂Print
