Homemade Chili Seasoning

It's so easy to make chili seasoning at home with common pantry spices. It's quick, budget-friendly, and easily customizable!

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  • Stir or whisk together all ingredients in a small bowl.
  • If not using immediately, transfer to an airtight container and store in a cool, dry place (in a pantry or cupboard away from direct sunlight) for up to 6 months.

Notes

  • This recipe makes enough seasoning for a pot of chili using 1 to 1 ½ pounds of ground beef.
  • Feel free to adjust the spices to your taste preference.
