Ingredients
3russet potatoes, rinsed and scrubbed cleanabout 1 ¼ pounds
2teaspoons olive oil
½teaspoon salt
½teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Cut potatoes lengthwise into ½ inch sticks.
Place cut potatoes in a large bowl of ice water and soak for at least 30 minutes.
Drain in a colander and rinse with water.
Pat dry using paper towels or a clean dish towel.
Preheat your air fryer to 390 degrees F.
Place cut potatoes in a large bowl (I rinse and dry the bowl I used for soaking) and drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toss to coat as evenly as possible.
Arrange cut potatoes in a single layer in your air fryer basket (all the potatoes will not fit in a single layer, you'll be cooking in batches). Cook for 8 minutes, then flip potatoes. Cook an additional 5 to 8 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy (check at 5 minutes).
When all the batches are done, place all the fries in air fryer basket and heat for 1 to 2 minutes.
