Maple Glazed Carrots

Delicious crisp-tender baby carrots prepared in an easy maple syrup, brown sugar and butter glaze.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter unsalted
  • 3 tablespoons real maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar light or dark
  • 1 pound baby carrots
  • ¼ teaspoon salt more or less, to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper more or less, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley optional garnish

Instructions

  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat (be sure to use a skillet that you have a lid for). Add maple syrup and brown sugar. Stir to combine.
  • Add carrots and gently stir to coat as evenly as possible.
  • Reduce heat to medium low. Cover and cook for 20 minutes (stirring occasionally), or until carrots have reached your desired tenderness.
  • Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley when serving, if desired.

Notes

To store in the fridge, allow to come to room temperature.  Cover and store in an airtight container for up to 3 to 4 days.
