Easy Salsa

I got spoiled by my Mom’s homemade canned salsa with tomatoes & herbs grown in her back yard.  Last year she didn’t have as many tomatoes; therefore less salsa :-(   Store-bought “jarred” salsa was just not the same after having “the best”.   So one day, I just started mixing what I thought were the “appropriate” ingredients for a quick, simple, homemade salsa.  It has been a favorite ever since!

Easy Salsa

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Total Time: 15 minutes

Yield: Approximately 2 cups

Easy Salsa

Ingredients

  • 3 Roma tomatoes, diced
  • 1 green onion, sliced thin (including tops)
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1 tbsp chopped cilantro
  • 1 tsp chopped garlic
  • 1/2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp diced red onion
  • 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • Pinch of cumin
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Easy! ~ Mix all the ingredients together!

It is best to cover & refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving (to let the flavors mingle!) but can be enjoyed immediately.
