I got spoiled by my Mom’s homemade canned salsa with tomatoes & herbs grown in her back yard. Last year she didn’t have as many tomatoes; therefore less salsa
Store-bought “jarred” salsa was just not the same after having “the best”. So one day, I just started mixing what I thought were the “appropriate” ingredients for a quick, simple, homemade salsa. It has been a favorite ever since!
Ingredients
- 3 Roma tomatoes, diced
- 1 green onion, sliced thin (including tops)
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley
- 1 tbsp chopped cilantro
- 1 tsp chopped garlic
- 1/2 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tbsp diced red onion
- 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- Pinch of cumin
- Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Easy! ~ Mix all the ingredients together!
It is best to cover & refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving (to let the flavors mingle!) but can be enjoyed immediately.
